Multicriterial analysis used for the optimisation of dike system management

Levees are the most frequently used flood protection measure worldwide. In central Europe, they have been built systematically since beginning of 19th century. After extreme regional floods in 1997, 2002 and 2013, need arose for a more systematic optimised approach to levee design management, including decommissioning ineffective dike reaches. this paper, multicriterial algorithm is presented optimisation management. The aspects considered risk, economy, technical conditions, environmental issues consistency with general documents principles water method demonstrated via case study subsystem upper Morava River basin.
